Hi, I am Jane, an experienced CBT therapist, specialising in treating anxiety

Do you find you are always filled with dread and your mind is always in the worst case scenario leading to uncomfortable sensations of panic and anxiety in your body?

Are you constantly worrying, feeling overwhelmed and finding it hard to cope with daily life?  Do you feel like you are in a constant battle with your own mind?

Do others find your worries hard to understand and you feel lonely, isolated and misunderstood?

Do you avoid situation you feel will make you scared and miss out on things you enjoy?  Does your worry cause difficulties in your relationships?

Do others feels you sometimes go to extraordinary lengths in response to your worries?
Do you try to please others, not feel good enough, agonise over conversations, rehearse future conversations, never feel good enough and worry others will find out?
Do you find it hard to make decisions, fear making the wrong decisions or fear make mistakes that leads to procrastination?

Do you dislike yourself and say really mean things to yourself all the time, a bit like a bully would?

These are some of the common things my clients say to me.

If some or maybe all of the above feel familiar then get in touch with me and lets have a chat to see how I can help.

I work with adults and children from age 13 years and up.

What therapy do you offer?

I am a CBT (cognitive behaviour Therapy) Therapist and you can be reassured that I am BACBP accredited (The gold standard for CBT Therapists in relation to training and regulation of the profession).  I also am trained in other therapies that can be really helpful in treating anxiety such as CFT (compassion focussed therapy, mindfulness and ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy).

What do you work with?

I specialise in working with anxiety disorders, more commonly referred to as 'worry or worrying'.  I particularly work with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), GAD (Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), stress, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem and perfectionism that cause lots of anxiety and those with ADHD.

How do I get started with therapy?

I always speak to prospective new clients on the phone first.  I want to make sure I think I can help and it gives you the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have.  There is no charge for this initial 15 minute phone call.

I will arrange this with you for a time that is convenient for us both.

You can either email me or use the contact form, with the button below, to get in touch to make that first step.
